The main purpose in this project is to enhance and intensify the connective role of the central open green space, with the help of an academic building. The approach is more about how architecture could contribute as an urban element to this issue, and it is not much about landscape design.
Therefore, the construction is proposed for the north and east edges of mentioned site, which due to the slope, are working as a barrier today. The rocky and steep context calls an intelligent placement of spaces.
Colloid concept could be interpreted as series of spaces that no not necessarily follow ortho-oriented grids. Then another sort of space relations and circulation could be experienced. There are no more direct relations of spaces in plan and sections, and same levels are not connected directly. It brings Rem Koolhaas’s definition of open section to mind, that was proposed in line with Corbusier’s open plans. A combination of those two could lead to a colloid shaped spatial setting.
This strategy fits in the rocky and steep site, where every deci- sion for excavation could make much difference, both economically and visually. The whole mass looks like a retaining wall for the landscape behind it.
There is no single entrйe to the complex anymore, but still there is an entrance hub which mainly opens the access to the court yard, but also distributes the access to different spaces in the building. It is located in north-east corner. In addition, there is a set of corridors that connect the sidewalk to the courtyard through the building. The relation between public and private comes to importance, while they are woven into each other. Then maybe you enter the housings, not the same way you enter the lab, but still when you go to your room, you might be spatially close to the lab.

Functionally, the complex is divided to two parts: academic and housings, but still it seems as a united whole. Academic part is located by the street and it is working with street, while the housing part is mainly working with the courtyard. The sidewalk between the building and the street turns to a ramp which continues as a part of the mass, and goes along the building, and finally ends up on the roof. The roof is itself as a landscape organization, and it is walk able. There are several entrances from, through, and to the roof. There is no separation between landscape and the roof, as the contour lines of topography flow on it and provide physical connection. This idea of ramps is also seen in other building parts and interiors.
Physically and structurally, building is divided to two parts: the concrete base and the lightweight covering structure (shell). The base is done as a set of compound surfaces, out of concrete, which are playing the load barring role for the shell and floors. They turn to bunch of cone shaped geometries when they meet the ground. These cones are also functional. They embrace the public parts of program, plus the lab. So structure contains function in these points. The shell is made of lightweight concrete with steel framing.
The faзade consists of two layers of bars, one layer is out of glass and in a fixed order, and the other layer is aluminum pro- files that are designed according to the elevation situations. When these two layers are overlaid, it makes a dynamic combination, which is sensitive to any movement. This could be the movement of visitor or the movement of sunlight, and it will make different patterns of shadow and light. So the faзade is not a fixed entity and it changes according to your location and light conditions. At the same time it contributes to control interior light conditions.

___"Faux gui" proposes a new architectural parasite for an existing cafe in Moscow. The project revolves around the contrast between emerging and classic interior design. The new part deforms and mergers traditional space of the cafe creating new conditions and spaces.
The existing interior tissue is being inflected in the center space by an emerging structure which develops and distributes itself in the available space. The remains of the parasitized space resist this process by mixing two different sensations thus creating a new one. This ongoing process perfectly describes how the geometry performs the role of a parasite.
___The counter, made of molded polished wood with black leather, represents the new cafe and serves as centerpiece for the place. From the entrance point it spreads around the room allowing for an agreeable arrangement of tables. On the left, bar stools rise elegantly from the counter to support natural body curves.
